Site Council Members

Site Council’s Purpose is to be a recommending committee made up of administrators, parents, staff, and community members. The role of this committee is to consider major school issues needing broad study, perspective, and discussion.

Parents and staff work cooperatively to develop decisions that best serve all students of our community.

Decisions are developed in cooperation with the professional staff for consensus and support before final adoption and implementation.

The responsibilities of representatives of Site Council are:

§         Act as liaison for constituency to inform and communicate to and from the council

§         Respect others perspective in council discussions

§         Consider what is best for all children at Maple Hills

§         Consider and respect all points of view

§         Support decisions adopted by council

§         Participate in additional study that may be needed

Issues and concerns may be brought to the Site Council through the following process:

bullet Obtain a Focus Question form from school office, any site council member or on line
bullet Submit written Focus Question to a council member
bullet The council will decide if the topic meets requirements stated under the council’s Purpose and Focus and decide if further discussion and investigation is warranted
bullet The topic will then be added to the agenda at the most available time
