- Students in grades K-2 visit the library for 30 minutes per week
- Students in grades 3-5 visit the library for 60 minutes every other week
- There is a recommended limit of books and materials that can be borrowed
by students at each grade level:
- Kindergarten students may borrow one book at a time. If they do not return their book, they are unable to check out a new one.
- Students in grades 1st and 2nd may borrow up to 4 items per week. Students are allowed more than 4 if there is a special occasion or reason.
- Students in 3rd grade may borrow up to 5 items.
- Students in 4th and 5th grade may borrow up to 6 items per week. Again, there are exceptions if students need additional materials for a particular reason.
- Your student may receive a notice to remind them to return their books and materials in a timely manner. There is NEVER a fine for an overdue book.
- Books that are LOST or DAMAGED must be replaced. You may write a check payable to Maple Hills Elementary to cover the cost of replacement, or you may purchase a copy of the book for replacement.
- Students are allowed to RENEW books and materials twice.
- Students may put a HOLD on books or materials that are currently unavailable.
